About The Artist

Hello! My name is Merlin, and I am the artist and designer behind Tiny Red Key. I am proudly queer and my pronouns are they/them.Having grown up in Phoenix, AZ, I have a strong love of the outdoors and an affinity for the desert and its wildlife. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, my mom is a painter and she and my dad encouraged my artistic pursuits from a young age.In 2014 I graduated from Towson University with a B.F.A., concentration in Illustration.In 2020, after being laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the plunge and started Tiny Red Key as a store and freelance design and illustration business. I launched a Kickstarter for my first pin design, the Magp-Eye enamel pin, and have been steadily adding to my portfolio and store ever since.
